From Sharm El Sheikh: Cairo Giza Pyramids & Museum Day Trip - Round-Trip Flights Included

Get picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, transfer to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport and take a flight of about 1 hour 30 minutes to Cairo. Pickup time depends on your hotel location and the flights available that day, around 04:30.

Outside the arrivals hall at Cairo International Airport, meet a staff member holding a sign and travel by air-conditioned vehicle. Three bottles of water per person are provided in the vehicle during the tour.

Explore a museum with an Egyptologist guide

Meet your Egyptologist guide at the museum to begin the tour. Visit either the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), home to more than 100,000 artifacts, or the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, depending on what you chose when booking. The Pyramids and Sphinx option does not include a museum ticket.

Meet the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx

After lunch at a nearby restaurant overlooking the pyramids, head to the Giza Plateau. Take photos at the Panorama Point with a sweeping view of the pyramids, then explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure with their unique architecture.

Finally, admire the mysterious face of the Great Sphinx up close. The Giza Plateau visit takes about 2 hours 30 minutes; camel rides and entry to the burial chambers of the Pyramids of Khufu or Khafre are not included.

Enjoy more of Cairo if time allows

By arrangement with your guide, you can take a Nile boat ride (extra cost) or, if time allows, a city tour of Old Cairo. If your return flight is in the late evening, spend time at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Old Cairo or the large Cairo Festival City mall. Then fly back from Cairo Airport to Sharm El Sheikh, where a car takes you to your hotel.
