From Cairo: Fayoum Wadi El Rayan & Magic Lake Desert Safari - Lunch Included

Depart from Cairo
and head to the desert via Lake Qarun

After pickup from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza, travel to the Fayoum region. On the way, stop briefly at Lake Qarun for photos before heading into the desert.

Ride the dunes by 4x4 and try sandboarding

Hop into a 4x4 and enjoy dune bashing over soft yellow sand. After racing across the dunes, stop to slide down the slopes on a sandboard. If you are lucky, you may spot desert wildlife such as the slender-horned gazelle.

Ride a camel or horse at the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls

Head to Wadi El Rayan Lake to see the waterfalls in the middle of the desert, where you can enjoy a camel or horse ride along the shore. Then continue to Mudawara Mountain for panoramic views of Wadi El Rayan Lake and photos.

See the Magic Lake and have a barbecue lunch at a desert camp

Visit the Magic Lake, whose water changes color with the light, then move to a Bedouin desert camp for a barbecue lunch. After lunch, return to your accommodation in Cairo or Giza or your chosen location.
