Highlights

This day tour takes you by bus from Nipponbashi in Osaka to the top sights of Nara and Kyoto in one day. In the morning, stroll through Nara Park where deer roam freely, then walk with your guide through Fushimi Inari Taisha with its endless red torii gates. In the afternoon, spend about 2.5 hours freely in Arashiyama, enjoying the bamboo forest, the Kimono Forest and the Arashiyama Station foot bath. You can also ride the Sagano Romantic Train separately if you wish.

Travel by bus from Osaka to see
the highlights of Nara and Kyoto in one day

Meet near Exit 2 of Nipponbashi Station at 7:50 AM and depart at 8:00 AM. You travel in an air-conditioned bus with a multilingual guide (English, Japanese and Chinese). This is a group tour with travelers who speak various languages.

Stroll with the deer in Nara Park

After about 1 hour by bus, arrive at Nara Park and spend about 1 hour walking and taking photos. More than a thousand deer roam freely in the park, and you can meet them up close as they bow for deer crackers.

Walk the Senbon Torii at Fushimi Inari Taisha

Travel about 1 hour by bus to Fushimi Inari Taisha for about 80 minutes of guided touring and sightseeing. Walk the path of red torii gates up Mt. Inari, make a wish at the main hall, or draw a fox-shaped ema (prayer plaque).

Spend free time in Arashiyama

After about 40 minutes by bus, explore Arashiyama freely for about 2.5 hours. Walk through the bamboo forest, selected as one of Japan’s 100 Soundscapes, and see the Kimono Forest, with 600 kimono fabric pillars around Arashiyama Station. You can also relax at the Arashiyama Station foot bath (extra cost).

If you wish, ride the Sagano Romantic Train from Saga Torokko Station (about 25 minutes, extra cost) to enjoy the Hozugawa River gorge and the countryside of Kameoka. After sightseeing, return to Nipponbashi by bus in about 2 hours.
