Leave Malang at midnight
and watch the sunrise at Mount Bromo
You'll be picked up at 00:30 from your hotel lobby or the train station in Malang and driven to the sunrise viewpoint. From the jeep parking area, it's a 15–20 minute walk up to the viewpoint.
From 04:00 to 05:30, watch the sun rise over Mount Bromo. Take photos against the backdrop of the Tengger Caldera and Mount Semeru and enjoy the calm of the morning.
Climb 248 steps to the Bromo crater
After the sunrise, head to the Bromo crater. Climb 248 steps to the crater rim and look deep into the steaming active volcano up close.
Explore the Sea of Sand and Teletubbies Hill
Cross the vast volcanic Sea of Sand and stroll through the lush green savanna of Teletubbies Hill. After exploring these spots and the crater between 05:30 and 08:30, you'll leave for Malang around 08:30, and the tour ends around 11:00.
