From Hurghada: Luxor Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings & Temple of Hatshepsut Egyptologist Tour

Leave Hurghada and head
to the ancient sites of Luxor

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your Hurghada hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and travel to Luxor via the desert road. The drive takes about 4 hours each way, with a 30-minute stop at a rest area for restrooms and light drinks. On arrival in Luxor, your guide speaking the language you selected at booking will be waiting.

Walk among the giant columns of Karnak Temple

Spend about an hour at Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most important temple complexes of ancient Egypt, learning its history from your guide as you see its massive columns, sacred halls and ancient architecture. Next, make a short photo stop outside Luxor Temple.

Cross to the West Bank and explore the Valley of the Kings

Cross to the West Bank by vehicle, or for an extra fee take an optional 30-minute Nile boat ride. After lunch at a local restaurant, stop for about 15 minutes at the Colossi of Memnon for photos and background on the site.

In the Valley of the Kings, enter three of the tombs open to visitors and see the burial chambers of the pharaohs. The Tomb of Tutankhamun or the Tombs of Ramses V and VI are visited if you booked the corresponding option.

Discover the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut

On the way to the Temple of Hatshepsut, take a 30-minute break at an alabaster workshop with a cold drink. Then visit the unique terraced Temple of Hatshepsut set against the mountains. At the end of the day, return to your Hurghada hotel by vehicle, with snacks, cold drinks and water provided on the way back.
