From Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Karnak Temple Day Tour

Leave your hotel in Hurghada
and head to the ancient sites of Luxor

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada in an air-conditioned vehicle and travel along the desert road to Luxor (about 4.5 hours). On the way, there is a 30-minute rest stop where you can use the restroom and grab a light drink. When you arrive in Luxor, a guide speaking the language you selected at booking will meet the group.

Walk among the giant columns of Karnak Temple

Spend about 65 minutes at Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most important temple complexes of ancient Egypt. Listen to your guide explain its history while admiring the massive columns, sacred halls, and ancient architecture. Then cross to the West Bank, either continuing by bus or, for an extra fee, taking a 30-minute boat ride across the Nile.

Pass the Colossi of Memnon and enter the Valley of the Kings

After lunch at a local restaurant, stop at the Colossi of Memnon for about 15 minutes to take photos and learn about the site. In the Valley of the Kings, you will have about 1.5 hours to enter three standard tombs that are open on the day. The Tomb of Tutankhamun or the Tomb of Ramses V and VI can be visited if you choose that option.

Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and return to Hurghada

On the way to the Temple of Hatshepsut, stop for about 30 minutes at an alabaster workshop for a cold drink and a short break. After about 1.5 hours exploring the terraced Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut against the cliffs, return to Hurghada in an air-conditioned vehicle (about 5 hours). Snacks, cold drinks, and water are provided on the way back.
