From Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings, Tutankhamun Tomb & Karnak Temple Day Trip

Leave Hurghada early in the morning
and head to Luxor

Get picked up from your hotel in Hurghada at around 6 AM and travel to Luxor in an air-conditioned vehicle for about 4 hours. Please have breakfast before departure. Snacks and water are provided on the way.

Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak

Spend about 2.5 hours with your guide exploring the Karnak Temple complex, built by generations of pharaohs over more than 2,000 years. The Great Hypostyle Hall with its forest of huge columns is especially impressive. Stop briefly outside Luxor Temple for photos.

See the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings

Cross to the West Bank of the Nile to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two giant statues of Amenhotep III. Then spend about 2 hours in the Valley of the Kings, visiting 3 royal tombs and the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Carved deep into the desert rock, the tombs are richly decorated with paintings that show how the ancient Egyptians imagined the afterlife.

Enjoy lunch and some free time

Have lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor for about 1 hour. Before returning to Hurghada, enjoy some free time shopping at Luxor Gallery Stones, then get dropped off at your hotel.
