In the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza and travel to Alexandria in an air-conditioned vehicle for about 3 hours. Relax on the way and enjoy views of the Egyptian countryside.

Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and Pompey's Pillar

Your first stop is the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a three-level underground burial complex. Spend about 1 hour with your guide examining ornate carvings and murals blending Egyptian and Greco-Roman culture. Next, spend about 45 minutes at Pompey's Pillar, a 25-meter granite column at the Serapeum site.

See the Roman Amphitheater and enjoy a seafood lunch

Spend about 30 minutes at the Roman Amphitheater of Kom El Dikka, once the stage for performances and gladiator games. Then relax over a seafood lunch at a local restaurant. Drinks with lunch are paid separately.

Gaze out over the Mediterranean from the Citadel of Qaitbay

Take photos outside the Library of Alexandria for about 10 minutes, then head to the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. Spend about 75 minutes exploring the seaside fortress and admiring views of the Mediterranean and Alexandria harbor. After the tour, return to Cairo and be dropped off at your accommodation.
