In the morning, you will be picked up from your Cairo accommodation in an air-conditioned private vehicle. After about a 2-hour drive to Alexandria, your tour with an Egyptologist guide begins.

Start the day at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

These burial chambers and tombs carved into the rock were discovered by chance in 1900 when a donkey fell through a hole in the ground. Spend about 30 minutes exploring the well-preserved catacombs, which blend Pharaonic and Roman funerary styles.

Explore the Bibliotheca Alexandrina with your guide

Located next to Alexandria's harbor, this modern building combines a library with a museum of archaeological finds from ancient Alexandria. Explore it in detail with your guide's explanations.

After lunch, explore the Qaitbay Citadel

After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the last stop, the Qaitbay Citadel. This 15th-century fortress on the Mediterranean coast also displays sphinxes, columns, capitals and statues dating back to the Pharaonic, Greek and Roman periods. After the tour, you will return to your accommodation in Cairo or Giza.
