Baan Farm Thai Cooking School is located on a farm in San Sai, about 10 km from Chiang Mai's old city. Book the morning class (09:00-13:30) or the afternoon class (14:00-18:30), and you'll be picked up from your accommodation around the old city.

Owner and chef Kru Ploy and her team guide you from choosing and preparing ingredients to cooking, so beginners can join with ease. The spacious kitchen fits up to 15 participants.

Pick ingredients at a local market and an organic farm

The class begins with a local market tour where you learn how to choose fresh produce and taste desserts and fruits. At the farm, you harvest fresh vegetables for your cooking.

Cook five dishes of your choice

Choose one dish from each category on the menu to cook five dishes plus one curry paste. Options range from classics like Som Tum and Tom Yum Kung to Mango Sticky Rice, and vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Enjoy your food and take home a recipe book

Enjoy the dishes you made with views of the farm. Drinking water, a welcome drink and fresh fruits are served during the class, and you receive a recipe book to cook again at home.
