At 2:00 PM, meet your guide at Tijan Plaza in Riyadh and board an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle. For about 2 hours, you cross the Najd Plateau into the desert landscapes outside Riyadh. Private options include pickup from your accommodation.

Meet Arabian gazelles in the reserve

On the way to the cliffs, stop at Huraymila National Park for about 30 minutes of wildlife watching. It is one of the few places near Riyadh where you can see Arabian gazelles crossing the open desert.

Hike along the edge of the Tuwaiq cliffs

Once you reach the Tuwaiq Mountains, your guide leads you on a walk along the clifftop for about 2 hours. There is plenty of time to take in the views and photos at the edge of cliffs that drop steeply to the plains below. Your guide explains the cliffs' geology, the old caravan routes across the plateau, and the wildlife that lives here, in Arabic and English.

Watch the sunset and first stars with Arabic coffee

As the afternoon cools, settle in on the cliffs and watch the desert change color at sunset. Enjoy Arabic coffee and dates with the group, see the first stars appear in the evening sky, then return by vehicle. Snacks and water are provided throughout the tour, and you arrive back at the meeting point in Riyadh at around 9:00 PM.
