Tokyo Shinjuku Japanese Home Cooking Class with a Local Chef - Private

Cooking class with Chef Sato was a highlight of our trip to Japan. He shared more than cooking techniques and gave us insight into Japanese culture, food, and people. We will be forever grateful and always remember the meal we prepared together and walking around Shinjuku afterwards.

We had a brilliant day with Sato, he was so kind and funny and a brilliant chef too. We made delicious food in his lovely home, followed by a walk around some lesser known areas of Tokyo. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Chef Sato was an exceptional guide. He created a fun and unique experience for our family of three. Neither my daughter nor husband do much cooking and Chef Sato was so encouraging of their meal prep efforts that they felt good about their contributions to the delicious meal. We learned so much about Japanese ingredients and food preparations for the home cook. It was a pleasure to watch Chef Sato work in his home, creating a multi-course meal using ingredients i can find on most supermarkets in the states. His tour of the local non-touristy neighborhood was really fun. Bonus was his professional photos of our experience. Chef Sato is a man of many talents including being a professionally trained photographer.

Truly one of the best experiences from our entire trip to Japan. Chef Sato is kind, thoughtful, and an expert at his craft. From the minute we met him, we felt like we were in the presence of an old friend. I highly recommend this class.

Fue una experiencia absolutamente increíble. Desde el primer momento, el chef Sato nos recibió con una sonrisa y una energía muy cálida. Aprendimos muchísimo sobre los ingredientes, las técnicas y la historia detrás de cada plato, todo explicado de forma clara y divertida. El ambiente fue muy agradable y bien organizado, y nos sentimos como en casa. Cocinamos varios platos deliciosos —todos con ingredientes frescos y auténticos— y al final pudimos disfrutar juntos de todo lo que habíamos preparado. Una actividad perfecta para conocer la cultura japonesa desde dentro, aprender recetas reales y pasar una noche diferente. ¡Totalmente recomendable, repetiríamos sin dudarlo! 🍣🇯🇵
