Winter Limited to 4 Days, Shirakawa-go Light-Up

Experience the light-up event held for only 4 days during the winter season in Shirakawa-go Gassho Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The combination of snow-covered gassho-style traditional houses and lighting creates a fantastic night view that cannot be seen at other times. The tour consists of a fulfilling day, starting with a stroll through the old streets of Hida Takayama and ending with a viewing of the Shirakawa-go Light-Up. You can choose from three courses: A, B, and C, which differ in whether they include an observatory, meals, small group travel, and the possibility of getting off at Takayama.

During the light-up period, there may be many visitors and travel may be inconvenient due to snow and ice. Please be sure to prepare for the cold weather as the temperature may be very low, and please observe on-site safety rules. As this is a winter-limited event that is only allowed for a short period of time, it is recommended for those who want to create special memories.

One of the must-visit tourist spots in Nagoya is Shirakawa-go. Among them, in Ogimachi, which stands out for its Gassho-style architecture, you can see houses built without using any nails, and the structure is so solid that it has been firmly in place since the 1800s. To see this special sight, many tourists from Japan and around the world visit, and it is now registered as a World Heritage Site.
