This is definitely the place. I booked and tried a different manta ray tour because of the typhoon, but it seems they do some preliminary work to ensure you see the manta rays. When I used other companies, the boat ride alone took an hour (with nearly 20 people crammed into a small boat ㅠㅠㅠ), so it is a hundred or a thousand times better to just drive to a nearby port. First, you meet at the arrival point, gather your necessary items (fins, gear, etc.), and head out. Above all, the boat is fast... lol. Also, the optimal group size is around 8-10 people, and another boat is already positioned in advance at the spots where manta rays frequently appear (it seems two divers are constantly searching around that boat; it looks like there is some kind of agreement among all companies for this haha). When a manta ray is spotted, they give a signal, and then several tour boats enter sequentially. We went in first, and although we didn't see a manta ray while following the first one, we spotted one on the second trip!!! They supported us with the freediving and shared a lot of stories about manta rays and Ishigaki. Even though I couldn't understand everything, they explained things well in English. Everything I took was video, and although I haven't been able to organize them all, I took great photos and videos at various spots. At first, it felt a bit more expensive than other places, but after the experience, I felt it was well worth it. It seems to be operated by the hotel beach, so I immediately booked additional activities to enjoy as well.

After booking, I received a confirmation text message via KakaoTalk the day before the tour. Although there were only Japanese and foreign guides, they were all kind and cheerful. At the first point, we were able to feed the fish and observe them up close, and at the second point, we saw manta rays and turtles. It was an awe-inspiring moment, as I even saw two manta rays moving in succession. Surprisingly, the turtles were difficult to spot; I barely managed to find one with half its body hidden among the coral. The approximately two-hour experience was very fulfilling, and since it was quite physically demanding for a beginner, I was glad it was a half-day activity. There was also a shower room after the tour, so I was able to clean up comfortably.

I participated because I wanted to fully enjoy the sea of Ishigaki Island, but it was even more amazing than I imagined!
 The experienced captain took us to the spot with the highest probability of seeing a manta ray, while keeping an eye on the wave conditions. As soon as we entered the water, a huge manta ray (a type of oceanic manta ray) appeared and swam gracefully right in front of us, and its majestic appearance gave us goosebumps 🙌 At another spot, we were able to swim with a sea turtle resting in the shade of a coral reef, which was incredibly lucky.
 The instructor was very thorough in safety management and kindly and carefully instructed even first-time snorkelers, so I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind from start to finish.

I was skeptical about whether I could see manta rays while snorkeling, but the guide picked out an amazing spot, and I witnessed three house-sized manta rays elegantly swimming right under my boat. 👍👍

 But that wasn't the end of it; as soon as we moved to the next spot, we even got to greet a cute family of sleeping sea turtles! The coral reef garden was home to thousands of Nemo and colorful tropical fish, so it felt like I was inside an aquarium.

 The shop facilities were clean and the showers were well-equipped, so I was able to wash up comfortably after the tour. The equipment (mask, fins) was spotless, and the guide was incredibly enthusiastic about taking "life-changing" photos underwater with a waterproof camera, sending them all to me via KakaoTalk. If you visit Ishigaki, this tour is an absolute must. It is well worth the money, so don't hesitate to book! 👍
