The Yaeyama Hime fireflies are special fireflies that can only be seen in the Yaeyama area, making this an experience only possible during the season. When you arrive, you don't go straight into the forest; you start by preparing for safe observation. You'll receive guidance on the route, precautions in dark places, and observation etiquette before slowly entering as if taking a walk. And the highlight will be short and intense. The time when fireflies shine after sunset is not long, so wait for the prettiest timing and appreciate the moment when they all sparkle at once. When hundreds of them light up at the same time, it feels like a lighting show created by nature.

Enjoy a Night Course with Easy Pickup and Rain Options

This tour is a great night tour to fit in between your evening plans. The total time required, including transportation and observation, is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You can meet at Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal or be picked up from your hotel. Pick-up is available for hotels and guesthouses in the southern area, and consultation is required for accommodations in the central and northern areas. The shop will provide final guidance on the meeting time and place the day before, so the tour will proceed in the best flow according to the weather and field conditions on the day. It will basically proceed even if it rains, but it may be stopped if safety cannot be secured. In this case, an alternative plan such as a night sky & subtropical jungle night tour can be provided. There may be no restrooms near the field, so it is recommended to go in advance before departure. Dress lightly in long sleeves and long pants, and it is good to prepare drinks, towels, and socks.
