Located west of the Osaka Castle Tower, Nishinomaru Garden is a beautiful 6.5-hectare garden, more than half of which is covered in lawn. Planted with approximately 300 cherry trees, primarily Somei Yoshino, the garden bustles with visitors every spring. Located on the west side of Osaka Castle, Nishinomaru Garden was once a special area where the lord's family strolled. Traces of that era remain throughout the garden, and a stroll will allow you to experience both the castle's grandeur and the elegance of a traditional Japanese garden.
You'll also find a stunning viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the castle tower and moat, making for a captivating photo opportunity. Despite being in the heart of Osaka, the tranquility feels like stepping back in time, adding to its charm.

• During the cherry blossom season (late March to early April), you can enjoy the spectacular view of Osaka Castle Tower and cherry blossoms together.
• Peak hours are from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, so if you want to enjoy it leisurely, we recommend visiting right after opening.
• There is the Osaka State Guest House within the garden, making it a great place to enjoy lunch or cafe time.
• The central lawn square with a view of Cheonsu Pavilion is a prime photo spot! Cherry blossoms during the day, and the castle glowing in the evening are the perfect photo spots.
