IMBA Theatre is a cultural venue within Gardens by the Bay, presenting large-scale exhibitions powered by light, motion, sound and imagination. This ticket lets you book one of the David Hockney immersive show, the Botero immersive show or Bloomyard. Experience art in a way unlike a traditional museum, in spaces filled with large projections, music and storytelling.

Step into six decades of David Hockney’s art

David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) is an immersive show tracing sixty years of Hockney’s art. Vast projections and sound design bring the world to life through his eyes, from LA to Yorkshire to Normandy, and you can see how he experiments with perspective, photography and even iPad drawings. A score composed by Nico Muhly and commentary from the artist himself accompany the experience.

Discover Botero’s life and art in an immersive show

Botero: A Life in Fullness is an immersive show dedicated to Fernando Botero, jointly produced by IMBA and the Fernando Botero Foundation. Follow the narration by the artist’s son through Botero’s life and work. The Botero option includes entry into IMBA Theatre and the Botero immersive show only.

Play among giant flowers at Bloomyard

Bloomyard by Graphic Rewilding is a free-flow exhibition in a space decorated with giant flower artwork, with play installations such as swings, mini-golf and table tennis. There is no fixed screening; explore at your own pace for about 60 minutes after entry. It runs from 10 September to 25 October 2026.
