Singapore Art Museum (SAM) opened in 1996 as the first art museum in Singapore. Located at Tanjong Pagar Distripark in the historic port area of Tanjong Pagar, it presents contemporary art from a Southeast Asian perspective for artists, art lovers and the art curious. One ticket gives you access to all exhibitions at SAM.

Contemporary art exhibitions that change over time

SAM hosts a wide range of contemporary art exhibitions spanning painting, sculpture, video and installation. From 24 July to 22 November 2026, Gallery 3 presents Maria Taniguchi: Afterimage, the artist’s first monographic exhibition at a Singapore museum, featuring her “brick paintings”, the wooden sculpture series Runaways and four video works.

Galleries open to everyone

All galleries at SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark are wheelchair-accessible, and manual wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the ticketing counter on a first-come, first-served basis. Photography and video for personal, non-commercial use are permitted unless otherwise noted.

The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, with last admission at 18:30. Show your mobile ticket at the ticketing counter to enter.
