This day tour of about 7.5 hours departs by van from your Chiang Mai hotel between 8:30 AM and 9:10 AM. You will visit Dantewada Land of Angels Waterfall Park, then Wat Ban Den or Cafe Elephant depending on your option, and finally the Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall. Lunch is a Thai buffet with seasonal fruit, and an English-speaking guide leads a small group of up to 10 people.

Walk through the fairy-tale waterfall gardens
of Dantewada Land of Angels

After a drive of about 45 minutes north of Chiang Mai, you arrive at Dantewada Land of Angels Waterfall Park. Cascading waterfalls, pools, rock formations, gardens, quirky cafes and caves are designed to resemble a magical fairy-tale land. The waterfalls are man-made but designed to look natural, and you spend about an hour exploring with your guide, taking photos or strolling freely.

Stop at Wat Ban Den or Cafe Elephant

Depending on the option you book, you visit one of the two. Wat Ban Den (Wat Ban Den Sali Si Mueang Kaen) in Mae Taeng is a large temple complex on a small hill, known for its blend of Lanna, Burmese and Tai Yai architecture, 12 stupas representing the Chinese zodiac and distinctive blue roofs. You spend about 45 minutes here.

The Cafe Elephant option includes about 25 minutes of feeding the elephants.

Climb the Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall

On arrival at Bua Tong Waterfall, enjoy a Thai lunch buffet with seasonal fruit and take a short rest. Then take a short walk through the forest to Nam Phu Chet Si, a mineral spring that rises from the ground into a stream, and climb the four tiers of the waterfall. Feel the cool water flowing over the rocks while taking in the valley and mountain views, and after about 3 hours return to your hotel in Chiang Mai by van.
