Enjoy mountain biking and jungle kayaking
in the Mae Ngat Valley in one day
This bike and kayak tour departs for the Mae Ngat Valley after pickup from your Chiang Mai accommodation around 8:30 AM. Stop at the shop for a safety briefing, visit Wat Ban Den at the valley entrance, then enjoy an approximately 25 km bike ride and a river kayak trip before lunch at a riverside restaurant. English- and Thai-speaking guides accompany you, and a support truck follows the group and stores your valuables.
Visit Wat Ban Den at the valley entrance

On arrival in the Mae Ngat Valley, start the day at Wat Ban Den at the entrance to the valley. Explore the temple with its many shrines and Buddha images, take photos and enjoy some free time.
Cycle past rice fields and villages

From the temple, ride deeper into the valley. Pedal at an easy pace past wide rice fields where local farmers grow crops using traditional methods and through peaceful villages, and stop at a local market to cool off and browse the snacks. Helmets, gloves and well-maintained mountain bikes in all sizes are provided.
Kayak down to the Mae Taeng jungle reserve

Next, paddle a single or double hard-shell kayak down the river toward the Mae Taeng jungle reserve. Glide through quiet forest waterways reachable only by boat, listen to the birds and look out for a variety of birds and wildlife. After kayaking, have lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking farmland (vegetarian and vegan options available) before returning to Chiang Mai.
