From Chiang Mai: Chiang Rai White Temple and Blue Temple Day Tour - Lunch Included

the iconic temples of Chiang Rai in one day

This day tour of about 12 hours picks you up from hotels in Chiang Mai Old Town and Nimman area and takes you to Chiang Rai. With an English and Thai-speaking guide, you visit the White Temple and the Blue Temple, then the Red Temple or the Baan Dam Museum depending on your option. Round-trip transportation, a Thai lunch buffet, drinking water and seasonal fruit are included.

Take a break at Mae Kachan Hot Spring

After about 1.5 hours by vehicle from Chiang Mai, stop for about 15 minutes at Mae Kachan Hot Spring with its warm waters. Another 1.5 hours of driving brings you to Chiang Rai.

Tour the White Temple and the Blue Temple with a guide

At Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), a modern temple shining with intricate white sculptures, spend about 1 hour listening to your guide and taking photos. After a Thai lunch buffet, spend about 1 hour at Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple), decorated with a jewel-toned blue interior.

Visit the Red Temple or the Baan Dam Museum

On the White, Blue and Red Temple Course, explore Wat Huay Pla Kang (Red Temple), known for its towering statue and panoramic views, then relax at Lalita Café. On the White and Blue Temple and Baan Dam Course, explore the Baan Dam Museum (Black House) built by artist Thawan Duchanee.

If you wish, you can visit the Long Neck Karen village for an extra entrance fee. At the end of the day, return to Chiang Mai by vehicle in about 2 hours.
