Chiang Mai Ethical Elephant Sanctuary Feeding Experience

Get close to elephants
at a sanctuary near Chiang Mai

The experience takes place at an elephant sanctuary about 40 minutes by car from Chiang Mai. On arrival, change into traditional clothing suited to the activity and meet the elephants with a local guide.

Choose between Program A (feeding and walking, about 1–1.5 hours) and Program B (feeding, bathing and vitamin balls, about 2–2.5 hours), and pick your transfer: self-arrival, city meeting point or hotel pickup (shared or private).

Learn about elephants and feed them

Your local guide explains elephant behavior, history and ethical care. Afterward, feed the elephants yourself and watch them up close in a natural setting.

Program B adds bathing and vitamin balls

With Program B, you bathe with the elephants or join a mud activity depending on the season and weather, and make nutritious vitamin balls for them. Program A suits those who want a shorter experience without bathing.

Take memorable photos with the elephants

Throughout the experience, you can take memorable photos with the elephants while respecting their space and welfare.
