Doi Inthanon National Park in one day

This full-day sightseeing tour visits the highlights of Doi Inthanon National Park, known as the Roof of Thailand, about 70 km southwest of Chiang Mai. Without any strenuous trekking, you visit Thailand's highest point, the King and Queen pagodas, a mountain village and Wachirathan Waterfall. An English-speaking guide accompanies you, transport is by air-conditioned car or minivan, and drinking water is included.

Group tours carry up to 10-12 guests per van, while the private option is for your group only. Whether lunch and national park and pagoda fees are included depends on your option. You usually return to Chiang Mai around 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

Thailand's highest point
and the Ang Ka Nature Trail

Visit the highest point in Thailand at 2,565 m and take an easy walk along the Ang Ka Nature Trail through the forest, enjoying the cool mountain air. From the viewpoint, take in the mountain scenery of Doi Inthanon.

Visit the two pagodas
honouring the King and Queen

Head to the King and Queen pagodas standing side by side on the mountain and explore the impressive Grand Pagoda Nabhapolbhumisiri. Pagoda tickets are included only in options with admission; otherwise they are paid on site.

A mountain village
and Wachirathan Waterfall

Travel to Mae Klang Luang, a mountain village surrounded by countryside and rice fields, and visit a Karen village (not a long-neck village). Then see Wachirathan Waterfall, one of the most famous in Doi Inthanon, and enjoy the surrounding mountain views before returning to Chiang Mai.
