Highlights
This is an admission ticket to Churayashi Park Okinawa / Southeast Botanical Gardens, an outdoor botanical garden in central Okinawa surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. With a history of more than 50 years, this large outdoor garden covers about 150,000 square meters (about three times the size of Tokyo Dome) and is home to more than 1,300 species of tropical and subtropical plants. Besides the daytime ticket, you can choose a 1-DAY pass or a night ticket to enjoy the Okinawa Tropical Illumination. As it is an electronic ticket, you do not need to buy a ticket at the counter on the day.
Program
Stroll among palm-lined paths and tropical plants
The garden is home to rare plants that are hard to see elsewhere. You can see exhibits unique to this garden, such as the baobab, the garden's treasured tree, and the long-lived dragon blood tree. The avenue of Yusura palms, grown over many years from a single seed, is one of its signature spots. You can also enjoy seasonal flowers.
Meet the animals up close
Besides viewing plants, you can interact with about 30 species of animals in a natural setting. You can meet capybaras and squirrel monkeys, and bird performance shows are held on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Animal interaction time ends before closing, so please arrive early.
At night, the tropical illumination lights up the garden
The Okinawa Tropical Illumination is held from October 23, 2026 to May 23, 2027. The light displays make use of the garden's palm trees and tropical plants, including the Sea of Light inspired by the ocean world, the Lotus of Light and the Castle of Light, and a laser show synchronized with music is held at the Lotus of Light. You can enjoy it with the 1-DAY pass (9:30-22:00) or the night ticket (17:00-22:00).

About 5 minutes by car from Okinawa-Kita IC on the Okinawa Expressway, and about 60 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Free parking is available on site with no reservation needed. By public transportation, take bus No. 90 from Naha Bus Terminal (Asahibashi Station) and get off at Nomin Kenshu Center-mae (about 1 hour 25 minutes), then it is about 3 more minutes by car.
