This aquarium is home to a variety of marine life, including manta rays and whale sharks, rarely seen at other aquariums. The sight of these creatures swimming gracefully through the massive tank is a spectacle unlike any other! We recommend taking photos with the massive tank as the backdrop. Beyond that, there are also a variety of themes and shows, allowing you to admire the colorful coral reefs and encounter deep-sea animals, ensuring you'll never be bored!

1F / Discover the tank that recreates the deep sea of Okinawa.

First, the first floor of Churaumi Aquarium is a space where you can see various underwater scenes with the concept of “reproducing the deep sea of Okinawa.”

The deep sea, a sea filled with mysteries, often refers to depths exceeding 200 meters. This mysterious world has been perfectly recreated. Approximately 100 previously undiscovered species can be seen through transparent acrylic.

2F / Introducing the Kuroshio Sea

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium's main attraction, the Kuroshio Sea, offers a detailed understanding of shark ecology. At the Churaumi Theater, you can watch high-definition footage of the diverse creatures that inhabit Okinawa's Churaumi Sea and the relationship between Okinawans and the ocean. The Shark Room also offers a chance to understand shark ecosystems.

The highlight is the Aqua Room, accessible through the massive acrylic panel at the front! Watch whale sharks and manta rays swim in schools in the 7,500m3 tank.

TIP: During the Kuroshio Journey, which is only available from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, you can watch whale sharks being fed!

The third floor of Churaumi Aquarium features a coral reef and tropical fish exhibit. Here, you can admire beautiful tropical fish and coral reefs in tanks. The "Creatures of Ino" corner also offers an interactive experience where you can see, touch, and interact with creatures living in Okinawa's shallow waters.

The 4th floor rooftop of Churaumi Aquarium offers breathtaking views of Okinawa's emerald green sea and Iejima Island. This spot is the best photo spot in the aquarium, attracting countless photographers.

The Churaumi Aquarium's Okichan Theater presents a dolphin show! Learn about dolphin ecology and their abilities through the show. Admission to the Okichan Theater is free to anyone with a Churaumi Aquarium admission ticket.

Behind Churaumi Aquarium, there's a walking path where you can enjoy a stroll while taking in Okinawa's natural beauty. Known as the "Ocean Walkway," it offers breathtaking views of the cobalt blue Okinawan sea and the islands rising above the horizon.

There are stairs leading down to the sea, so you can see the sea as well, so be sure to visit.
