Meet your Egyptologist guide at your accommodation and set off in an air-conditioned vehicle. Depending on the option you booked, the tour is either a full-day tour of both the East and West Banks or a half-day tour of one side of the Nile. If you are staying on the West Bank, meet at the El Mesala Hotel.

See the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's temple on the West Bank

Spend about 2 hours with your guide in the Valley of the Kings, visiting important tombs such as those of Ramesses III, Ramesses V and Merneptah. Then explore the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh who ruled Egypt for 20 years, for about 1 hour, and see the Colossi of Memnon at the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

Discover Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank

On the East Bank, spend about 1 hour each at the vast Karnak Temple complex and the magnificent Luxor Temple with your guide. At Karnak, famous for its ancient pylons and chapels, experience a center of ancient Egyptian worship up close.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant

Have lunch at a local restaurant for about 1 hour during the tour. Drinks with lunch are not included. You can add a felucca ride as an add-on; if there is no wind, a motorboat may be provided instead.
