Pass the statues of Ramesses II at the entrance and explore Luxor Temple for about 1 hour. Begun by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II of the 19th Dynasty, the temple is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. See the obelisk, carved statues and countless hieroglyphs as you learn about the role of temples in ancient Egyptian culture and beliefs.

At the end of the tour, your guide can suggest how to spend the rest of your day before you return to your hotel by car.
