Highlights
This 6-day, 5-night private tour from Cairo connects Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan. Program
Explore the Giza Pyramids
and Alexandria from Cairo
On day 1, you are picked up from your Cairo hotel and head to the Giza Pyramids, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next, learn about the development of ancient Egyptian civilization at the Egyptian Museum, enjoy an Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, and transfer to your Cairo hotel for 2 nights.
On day 2, travel to Alexandria to explore Kom el-Dikka, once a residential area of the Greco-Roman era, and visit the Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the 15th-century Citadel of Qaitbay by the sea before returning to your Cairo hotel.
Fly to Luxor and board your Nile cruise
On the morning of day 3, take a flight to Luxor. Your driver will be waiting outside Luxor Airport to take you to the East Bank. Visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile, and then board the cruise ship where you will stay for the next 3 nights.
Float over Luxor in a hot air balloon
On day 4, fly over Luxor in a hot air balloon early in the morning. After landing, head to the West Bank with your guide to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, then return to the ship for dinner.
Visit Edfu and Kom Ombo, then head to Abu Simbel
On day 5, after breakfast on board, take a horse-drawn carriage to Edfu and tour the Temple of Horus with your guide. Return to the ship for a buffet lunch while sailing to the next destination, and visit Kom Ombo Temple in the afternoon before dinner on board.
On day 6, travel early in the morning to the Abu Simbel temples for a small-group tour. Afterwards, return to the cruise ship to collect your luggage and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Your driver will meet you at Cairo Airport and take you to your hotel.
