We had such a lovely experience with the kimono rental and photoshoot in Asakusa! Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and put so much effort into making us feel special and comfortable. The photoshoot was very professional, and the photographer picked such beautiful spots around Asakusa. You could really feel the passion and care behind everything they did. We absolutely loved the experience and the beautiful memories we got to take home with us. Highly recommended!

Amazing adventure! The stylist was perfect , the way she dressed up the kimono and and styled the hair was exceptional!!! The photograph was very committed! He paid a lot of attention to the proper body posture and chose the best views and place . There was an accompanying stylist who all the time took care about the proper layout of the kimono . Do recommend!

Highlights

Put on a traditional kimono in calm, elegant colors at Miu, a kimono rental shop near Asakusa Station, and explore the streets of Tokyo freely. Yukata are also available from June to September, and women's plans include hair styling and hair accessories. Kimono are available for all ages and a wide range of sizes (hip circumference up to 130 cm), with support in English, Japanese and Chinese. Choose an outdoor photoshoot plan to also receive 15 edited photos.

Program

Wear a kimono in Asakusa
and stroll the streets of Tokyo

Choose and put on a kimono at the rental shop on the 4th floor of a building near the North Exit of Asakusa Station (Tobu Skytree Line). Dressing takes about 20 minutes per woman, and women's plans include hair styling and hair accessories. Once dressed, you are free to explore Tokyo in your kimono until the 16:50 return time.

Choose between a kimono and a yukata

A kimono features an elegant layered design and can be worn in any season. A yukata is a simpler, unlined kimono usually worn in summer (June to September), offering a lighter, cooler and more casual look. Even if you booked a yukata plan, you can switch to a kimono plan for an additional ¥2,000.

Capture memories with an outdoor photoshoot

With a photoshoot plan, you will be photographed outdoors at locations recommended based on the season, weather and time of day. Shooting time is 20 minutes for 1 person, 30 minutes for 2 people and 45 minutes for 3 or more.

Each participant can download 15 edited photos with adjusted brightness and color for free, and the download link is provided within 3 days. Additional photos can be purchased for ¥200 each. Unedited original data and excessive retouching such as beauty filters are not provided.

※ For an outdoor photoshoot, please book a photoshoot plan in advance; changing to a photoshoot plan on the day may not be possible.
※ Depending on the situation, children or elderly guests may receive fewer photos.
※ Rental items must be returned within business hours; a late fee of ¥1,000 per hour applies.
