A special tea ceremony experience
Experience the best of Japanese culture at a tea house located in Sannenzaka, Kyoto Kiyomizu. Take a tour of the garden where the tea house is located, a garden created by the famous gardener Jihei Ogawa VII, with guidance from a professional tea master instructor.
Afterwards, listen to a brief introduction, admire the serene surroundings, and learn about the 500-year history of this tea ceremony. Next, a skilled tea master will introduce you to how to prepare tea and the culture behind it. After learning and experiencing this culture, enjoy a sip of matcha tea brewed directly with the tea master and taste traditional Japanese sweets. Finally, take some great photos with your group against the backdrop of the green garden.
Recommended for those who want to have a more special experience in Kyoto.
