Visit the Kyushu National Museum next to Dazaifu Tenmangu in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture! The Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall introduces the history of cultural exchange between Japan, Asia, and Europe, and exhibits works that show each cultural exchange according to the theme from the Paleolithic Age to the Edo Period.

The Super Hi-Vision Theater is showing ultra-high definition 8K Super Hi-Vision images, so enjoy beautiful movies on a 320-inch screen. In addition to cultural heritage exhibitions, various events and experiential exhibitions are also taking place, so let's go together now!

Museum floor guide

1F
This entrance is mainly for visitors using the Dezaifu Station.
The entrance hall has a general information center, a museum hall, and an open cafe.

- Museum Hall:
We hold various events such as lectures and concerts.

- Ajipa:
This is an experiential exhibition hall where you can enjoy the culture of countries that had exchanges with Japan with all five senses.

3F
Special Exhibition Room:
A wooden-tone exhibition hall with an area of approximately 1,500㎡ and a ceiling height of 7m. It consists of three exhibition halls: large, medium, and small, and the theme changes each time.

4F
Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall:
The exhibition is divided into five themes, covering the history of cultural exchange between Japan and Asia, from the Paleolithic Age to the late modern period (founding of the country).
You can always enjoy fresh exhibits through exhibition changes in some of the exhibition cases almost every week.

The free experience exhibition room "Ajipa" on the first floor means "fields of Asia" and allows you to experience the cultures of Asian and European countries that had exchanges with Japan with all five senses. 1. Asian
- This is a space that exhibits the most notable works from among the Ajipa.

2. Ajigyara
- Depending on the period, various themes are set for exhibition. You can also experience being a curator or archaeologist.

3. Danada
- You can hear sounds and music from the streets of different countries and see things being made.
