BESTThanks to you, I had a fun and enjoyable time. I went to Small World on a weekday and it was nice because there were no people and it was quiet. (There is no smoking room) The miniatures are very cute and the quality is great. I think kids will like it. I went to see Evangelion and wow, I really liked it. If you like Evangelion, I recommend going. I entered the Skytree at 5 and came down around 6:30. Those who want to see the night view properly should stay until 7 o'clock. Before entering, there is a line for people who have made reservations by activating their QR code. They show their QR code, follow the line, and then tell them to use their QR code to get a ticket from the ticket vending machine. Take that, follow the line again, and then take the elevator up and you're done^.^ (There are no smoking rooms in Skytree when you go up the elevator. Smoke before you wait in line and go up.) It was the best trip.

Tokyo's new landmark
'Sky Tree'
Completed in 2016, Tokyo Skytree is Tokyo's newest landmark, the first in 100 years since Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Skytree is a whopping 634 meters tall, making it the world's tallest freestanding broadcasting tower.
Tokyo Skytree was named Skytree with the meaning of 'a large tree reaching toward the sky' and is well known to have been designed by Japan's greatest sculptor, Kiichi Sumikawa.
Tokyo Skytree has observation decks at 350m and 450m high, and on a clear day, you can see up to 75km from the observation decks, including Mt. Fuji. And at night, you can see the sparkling Tokyo night view and Tokyo Tower, making it a must-see attraction.
Take a walk along the Sky View Corridor
The most famous spot in Tokyo Skytree is the observation deck at 450m. The observation deck is a glass-covered slope that makes you feel like you are taking a walk in the air. So even if you pay a little more, I highly recommend visiting the 450m observation deck.
As you move along the observation deck, you will come across the highest point, Sorakara Point, at an altitude of 451.2m. It would be nice to see that point as well.
Introducing Sorakara Points
The highest point you can see when you move through the observation corridor is the Sorakara Point, a space created as shown in the photo above. The geometric round shape created by light and glass feels mysterious. And it is a very pretty place with a unique sense of space, a sense of floating, and a sculpture inspired by the round Earth.
Introducing Skytree Cafe
After enjoying the view from the 350m high tower, how about an iced Americano with a great view at the Skytree Cafe? You can enjoy a variety of menus including coffee, various drinks, and original sweet snacks!
Enjoy Skytree even more fun!
Tokyo Skytree hosts a variety of fun events and activities every month. Currently, Tokyo Skytree is hosting Skytree Yoga, where you can experience yoga at a height of 450 meters above ground, in collaboration with the All Japan Yoga Federation.
There are various other events, so be sure to check them out in advance by checking the events and then go on your trip!
Small World Tokyo, an elaborate miniature museum
Small World Tokyo is a miniature theme park located in the Ariake district of Odaiba, on the waterfront of the capital. Opened in 2020, Small World Tokyo recreates various landscapes from Japan and the world on a scale of 1:80, and exhibits them with such precision that visitors are amazed.
Additionally, the miniatures move vividly as if they were alive, and various sounds of daily life and nature are heard, allowing you to enjoy the exhibition even more vividly.
6 Spots in Small World Tokyo
1. Space Center:
After exiting Gulliver’s Tunnel, you will enter the center of the NASA Space Center in the 1960s. The Apollo program for the moon landing is in full swing, and you can watch the launch of the Saturn V rocket spacecraft from the control tower. The engine noise that will make you doubt your ears and the scene of the rocket taking off are amazingly realistic. In addition to the space center, you can also see another part, the futuristic space station. Many other miniature replicas, including a spaceport, will be added in the future!
2. Imaginary Village and Industrial Revolution:
Discover imaginary towns with architecture inspired by Western and Asian styles. The park also features fantasy elements such as the medieval-inspired heroic fantasy genre and the steampunk trend dominated by the industrial revolution. You can explore mountain and waterside towns inhabited by imaginary creatures such as dragons and winged horses, as well as realistic figures such as coal miners.
3. Sailor Moon:
The Sailor Moon area, themed after the popular Japanese manga "Sailor Moon," depicts the upscale neighborhood of Azabu-Juban, located near Tokyo Tower in the south of central Tokyo. Even if you don't know the manga or the series, you can enjoy it as it depicts the scenery of a typical Tokyo residential area. It's fun to notice the signs and advertising lights, as well as the green areas dedicated to temples and shrines! Look for the Sailor Moon characters hiding in the intricately decorated miniature Azabu-Juban!
4. KIX, Kansai Airport:
Located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, the scale model of KIX Kansai International Airport perfectly recreates the scenery and transit atmosphere of a Japanese airport! The sound effects of taking off and landing airplanes, as well as detailed spaces such as Terminal 1, boarding gates, airport runways, and baggage claim areas, are expressed in detail. Passengers waiting with their luggage and airport service technicians working on Japan Airlines planes are realistically depicted. You can vividly experience the busy and hectic airport.
5. Evangelion:
The final two worlds of Small World Tokyo are themed after the 1990s Japanese cult anime series Evangelion. The first scale model recreates the fortress city of Tokyo-3, a fictional new Japanese capital located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, in the mountains of Kanagawa Prefecture. Fans of Hideaki Anno’s work will be amazed at how the city’s skyscrapers move and recede underground to protect against Angel attacks. The area ends with a dedicated space for the EVA, humanoid lifeforms hiding in NERV’s underground headquarters. The EVA are the guardians of Tokyo-3 and are sent to the surface when threats arise!
