New works unveiled in January 2025

On January 22, 2025, teamLab Planets Tokyo was transformed with the unveiling of a large number of new works! The area has expanded by about 1.5 times, and more than 10 new works have been added, making it full of things to see and experience, so if you are planning a trip to Tokyo, you should visit teamLab Planets Tokyo, right?
 

Introduction to Highlight Areas

- The Forest of Movement : The ball that rotates at high speed stops the moment you approach it, and bounces the moment you step on it. Above all, if you step on the same color ball in a row, the energy that bursts out from inside the ball spreads throughout the space, and if you continue to step on the same color ball, a mysterious caterpillar is born. And if you jump and connect on the same color ball until the end, all the balls in the space explode at once, creating a wondrous scene where countless caterpillars are born. Be sure to experience this fantastic experience as if you were playing in a fairy tale!

- Learn & Play! Future Park : Draw pictures of airplanes, dolphins, hawks, and butterflies on paper. The picture you draw will transform into 3D and fly, and if you touch the picture, you can see it move faster or run away! In addition, you can also have a special experience of controlling the pictures you draw using your smartphone.

- Colorful Aerial Climbing :  Use ropes and bars floating in the air to cross the 3D space! Since this is an activity you do with other people, you have to think a lot about which route to take!

A true immersive experience that you enter barefoot

The characteristic of the Toyosu teamLab Planets exhibition is that you are included in the work. You can feel the trajectory of light changing and scattering according to your movements.

As this is a body immersive exhibition, you must take off your shoes, socks, and stockings before entering, and you cannot enter wearing a short skirt because there is a floor mirror space. You can rent shorts on site, but it is better to wear clothes that take this into account for pretty photos! Separate lockers are also provided, so leave your worries about storing your belongings behind and enjoy yourself to the fullest.

About the teamLab Planets area

teamLab Planets Tokyo Toyosu is divided into Area 1 and Area 2. We recommend that you visit Area 1 first as there is more to see and then move to Area 2.

Introduction to major exhibitions :

<The Infinite Crystal Universe>
This is a really pretty place where the colors change depending on the light and the crystals sparkle. It is a representative spot that is good for taking pictures as it is surrounded by mirrors.

<Drawing on the Water Surface Created by the Dance of Koi and People - Infinity>
This is an exhibition where you can see koi swimming along the trajectory of people walking on the water. The koi turn into flowers and scatter when they collide with people, so experience the flowers that change with the seasons.

<Matter is Void - Fire>
This is teamLab's first NFT work that anyone can download and own.

In addition to this, you can see a really wide variety of exhibitions, and it usually takes about 2 hours to see all of teamLab Planets. So, we recommend that you visit with plenty of time to spare. 

Highlight of the teamLab exhibition 'Garden Area'

The highlight of this teamLab Planets is the garden area. It is called the aerial flower garden, and the background of all advertisements is the garden area. 

What's really amazing is that all of these flowers are real flowers, and the flowers move up and down from the ceiling. You can't touch the flowers, but it's a really special experience to be able to see so many flowers like this. 

Tips for purchasing tickets

Tokyo Toyosu teamLab Planets admission tickets are sold as timed entry tickets. This is because if too many people gather in one hour, it will interfere with immersion.

Currently, teamLab Planet admission tickets sell out really quickly by time slot, so if you were unable to purchase tickets for the time you wanted, try changing the time and making a reservation!
