When you come out of Gulliver's Tunnel, you will enter the center of the NASA Space Center in the 1960s. The Apollo program to land on the moon is in full swing, and you can watch the launch of the Saturn V rocket ship from the mission control tower. The deafening engine noise and rocket takeoff scene are surprisingly realistic. In addition to the space center, you can also see another part, a futuristic space station. A spaceport and many other miniature reproductions will be added in the future!
2. Imaginary villages and the industrial revolution:
Discover an imaginary village with architecture inspired by Western and Asian styles. Various fantasy elements are also part of the park, including the medieval-inspired heroic fantasy genre and the industrial revolution-dominated steampunk trend. You can explore mountain and waterside villages inhabited by imaginary creatures such as dragons and winged horses, and realistic characters such as coal mine workers.
3. Sailor Moon:
The Sailor Moon area, based on the popular Japanese manga 'Sailor Moon', depicts the upscale neighborhood of Azabujuban, located south of central Tokyo near Tokyo Tower. Even if you don't know the manga or series, you can fully enjoy it because it depicts the scenery of a typical residential area in Tokyo. It's also fun to check out the signboards and advertising lights, as well as the green areas dedicated to temples and shrines! Find the Sailor Moon protagonists hidden in the elaborately decorated miniature Azabu Juban!
4. KIX, Kansai Airport:
The scale model of KIX Kansai International Airport, located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, perfectly recreates the scenery and transit atmosphere of a Japanese airport! The sound effects of airplanes taking off and landing, as well as detailed spaces such as Terminal 1, boarding gate, airport runway, and baggage claim area are expressed in detail. Passengers waiting with luggage and airport service technicians working on Japan Airlines planes are realistically depicted. You can vividly see the busy and busy airport.
5. Evangelion:
The final two worlds of Small World Tokyo are themed around the 1990s Japanese cult animation series ‘Evangelion.’ The first model scale recreates the fortress city of Tokyo-3, the fictional new Japanese capital located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, in the mountains of Kanagawa Prefecture. Fans of Hideaki Anno's work will see the city's skyscrapers moving and retreating underground to protect themselves from Angel attacks. The area ends in a space dedicated to the EVA, humanoid creatures hiding in the NERV underground headquarters. It works. EVA is the guardian of Tokyo-3 and is sent to the ground when a threat arises!
