To ride the Peak Tram, you need to go to the 'Peak Tram Station' on the ground. If you search for The Peak Tram on Google Maps, the location that appears is the boarding point. It's closer than you think, less than 10 minutes from Central. 

It's convenient to buy tickets in advance

It gets crowded without a place to set foot when it gets close to 8 PM, so it is recommended to go up before 7 PM to see the Symphony of Lights. If it gets close to 8 o'clock, there are so many people that you may not be able to see the Symphony of Lights properly.
