After pickup from your accommodation in the Saariselkä and Ivalo area, head into the Arctic wilderness in search of the aurora. The route is chosen each evening based on the latest weather, cloud cover and aurora forecasts, and you visit the viewing spot with the best conditions of the day around Saariselkä, Ivalo and Lake Inari. The tour runs in a small group of up to 8 people with an English- and German-speaking guide.
Hear aurora stories over warm drinks and snacks
At the viewing spot, spend about 3 hours taking photos and enjoying the scenery with coffee, tea and local snacks. Your guide shares stories and beliefs about the aurora from Lapland and cultures around the world. As autumn gives way to winter, you can see a quiet, peaceful Arctic landscape, and with luck you may even see the first snow.
