Bali Mount Batur Sunrise Hike Small-Group Tour - Breakfast Box Included

Climb Mount Batur before dawn
and greet the sunrise from the summit

This small-group hiking tour starts early in the morning with pickup from your accommodation (round-trip transfer option) or by meeting at the trekking start point. You set off in the dark with a flashlight provided by the guide, and an English-speaking hiking guide accompanies you throughout. The duration is about 5 to 10 hours depending on the option.

A gentle path turns into a steep climb

The first 50 minutes or so follow a gently sloping trail that is fairly easy. After a rest at the halfway point, the trail becomes steeper and more difficult, a bit like climbing stairs. In peak season the trail can be crowded and the pace may be slower.

Watch the sunrise with a breakfast box at the top

At the summit, wait for the sunrise while your guide prepares a breakfast box. On clear days you can see Mount Agung and take great photos. After sunrise, explore around the caldera and the black lava fields visible from the summit.

Descend carefully and head back

Much of the ground near the summit is loose gravel, so follow your guide and descend step by step with care. You return to the parking area around 8:30 a.m.; with the transfer option, your driver takes you back to your accommodation, and you can stop at a coffee plantation on the way.
