Mount Batur is an active volcano located in northeastern Bali, and is one of the most popular trekking spots on the island due to its relatively easy hike and stunning sunrise views from the top.
Although Mount Batur is an active volcano, its eruptions are generally less explosive and destructive than other volcanoes, and its last major eruption was in 1968. The trek to the top of Mount Batur usually begins early in the morning to catch the sunrise, and on clear mornings you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Batur and the surrounding landscape, including Mount Agung, Bali's tallest volcano.

The Mt. Batur trekking course is made up of moderately difficult hiking trails. This is a course that most travelers with basic physical strength can take on. Please note that it takes approximately 1.5 to 3 hours to reach the summit, depending on your individual fitness level!

Preparation for trekking and hot springs
Appropriate shoes and clothing are essential for trekking, right? Please wear a winter coat, hiking shoes, and comfortable clothing, and bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike.
If you choose the option that includes hot springs, you will need to bring a swimsuit, shorts, and a t-shirt, and also bring a change of clothes!
