Nikko Saru Gundan (日光さる軍団) in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture is a monkey theme park where you can enjoy performances by trained monkeys and a variety of experiences. With this ticket, you can watch the main stage show once, where monkeys and their trainers perform against a 180-degree panoramic video backdrop. You can also watch the Sports Stadium, where monkeys take on various sports. Hands-on attractions such as monkey fortune-telling and air hockey with a monkey are available on site for an extra fee.

On the main stage (Spectacle Theater), monkeys and trainers perform a dramatic show together against a 180-degree panoramic video backdrop. The show uses a variety of special stage equipment, and a new production is presented every year. This ticket includes one viewing of the main stage show, and there are no designated show times or seats.
Watch the monkeys compete in sports
At the Sports Stadium, you can see monkeys seriously taking on various sports. Unscripted matches such as monkey soccer battles take place, and the teams change every season.
Enjoy hands-on experiences with monkeys (extra fee)
On Attraction Street, you can enjoy attractions where you play and interact with monkeys, such as monkey fortune-telling (omikuji) and air hockey with a monkey. There is also the Baby House, where you can see baby monkeys up close and take souvenir photos, and the Animal Valley, where you can interact with sheep, goats, capybaras and more. These experiences cost 300 yen each or one "Osaru Coin," the in-park currency.

By public transport, take the Tobu Dial Bus bound for Nikko Edomura from Tobu Kinugawa-Onsen Station (鬼怒川温泉駅) for about 17 minutes and get off at the "Saru Gakko-mae" (Monkey School) stop; the facility is right there. By car, it is about 20 minutes from Imaichi IC (今市IC) on the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road.
