Cairo Manial Palace & Ibn Tulun Mosque & Gayer-Anderson Museum Tour - Hotel Pickup

Leave your hotel to discover
Cairo's royal and Islamic heritage

After pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, travel about 30 minutes to the first stop in an air-conditioned vehicle. An expert Egyptologist guide stays with you all day, sharing historical background and cultural stories.

Explore the lavish rooms and gardens of Manial Palace

Spend about an hour with your guide at Manial Palace (Prince Mohamed Ali Palace), built for Egyptian royalty in the 19th century. See rooms decorated with gold leaf, marble and fine European art, and stroll through the peaceful palace gardens while learning how Ottoman and European styles blend in its architecture.

Climb the spiral minaret of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun

Spend about an hour at the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, one of the largest and most historically important mosques in Egypt with over 1,000 years of history. Walk around the vast courtyard framed by pointed arches and climb the iconic spiral minaret for views over Cairo. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant and some free time (about 45 minutes).

Finish the tour at the Gayer-Anderson Museum

Spend about an hour at the Gayer-Anderson Museum, housed in two 17th-century Mamluk-style houses. Discover the antique furniture, Islamic art and rare artifacts collected by British Major Gayer-Anderson while he lived here in the 1930s. Then return to your hotel by vehicle.
