From Cairo: Bahariya Oasis & White Desert 2-Day Camping Tour

Leave Cairo and spend
2 days in the Western Desert

After pickup from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza, drive about 4 hours to the Bahariya Oasis. On arrival, meet your tour guide and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before switching to a 4x4 vehicle to start your desert adventure.

Cross the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain

First, head to the Black Desert, famous for its dark volcanic hills and dolerite rocks. Then stop at a Bedouin valley, where you can swim in sulfate-rich water.

At Crystal Mountain in the Agabat Valley, admire the unique deposits of quartz crystals, and enjoy sandboarding across the dunes.

Camp overnight in White Desert National Park

Explore the wind-carved white rock formations and the Tent Valley lined with tent-shaped rocks, then move to the White Desert campsite. Enjoy dinner at the camp and spend the night in a tent under the stars.

Visit English Mountain and Bawiti before returning

After breakfast at the camp, head to English Mountain, the site of a British base that controlled the Bahariya Oasis during World War I. Continue to Bawiti to see sand dunes and a salt lake, have lunch in the Bahariya Oasis, and return to Cairo or Giza.
