Meet your Egyptologist guide at your accommodation in Cairo or Giza and set off in an air-conditioned vehicle. Over about 8 hours including hotel transfers, you visit Saqqara, Memphis, and the Giza Plateau in turn.

See Egypt's first pyramid at Saqqara

Your first stop is Saqqara. Built by King Djoser around 2630 BC, the Step Pyramid is the oldest surviving large-scale stone structure in Egypt, and you explore it with your guide for about an hour.

Next, head to Memphis, the first capital after the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt around 3100 BC. Spend about 45 minutes exploring the ruins and admiring the colossal statue of Ramesses II.

Explore the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau

After lunch at a local restaurant (if you book an option or add-on with lunch), continue to the Giza Plateau. Spend about 1.5 hours around the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, taking photos and stopping at a scenic viewpoint. Camel or horse rides are available on site at extra cost if you wish.

Visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre

Admire the Great Sphinx, the limestone statue with a pharaoh's head and a lion's body, and explore the Valley Temple, part of the funerary complex linked to the Pyramid of Khafre. At the end of the day, you have some time for shopping and bargaining directly with merchants before returning to your accommodation.
