After pickup at your hotel or accommodation in Tokyo’s 23 wards, travel about 2 hours to Nikko in a private air-conditioned vehicle (van or sedan) with comfortable seats. An English-speaking driver-guide who knows Nikko’s routes accompanies you; fuel, tolls and parking are included, and free Mt. Fuji natural spring water is provided. Stops and timing can be adjusted to your preferences.
Climb the Irohazaka road and enjoy views
from the Akechidaira Ropeway
Drive up the winding Irohazaka road, then ride the Akechidaira Ropeway (about 40 minutes) to the observation deck for panoramic views over Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls.
Explore Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls,
Ryuzu Falls and Lake Yunoko
Stroll and take photos at serene Lake Chuzenji (about 1 hour) at the foot of Mt. Nantai, then follow a forest path to the roughly 100 m Kegon Falls (about 40 minutes). Next, take a break and lunch near the twin cascades of Ryuzu Falls (about 80 minutes) and walk around Lake Yunoko (about 30 minutes). Lunch costs are not included.
Visit the Tamozawa Imperial Villa,
Nikko Toshogu and Shinkyo Bridge
Tour the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park (about 1 hour), a Meiji-era imperial residence, then visit UNESCO-listed Nikko Toshogu (about 40 minutes) and the Shinkyo Bridge (about 20 minutes). Afterwards, return to Tokyo and get dropped off at your pickup point or another location in central Tokyo. The tour lasts about 10 hours including travel time.
