So great to make it too museum. Thank you for your little insights and enable us to go through at our own pace, to enjoy and take it all in. Thanks for taking our pictures too.

I enjoyed my time touring the Ghibli Museum. I wish I had more time to explore! I’ll definitely plan to come back. I arrived late because I took the wrong train and went a different way, but the guides were so kind to let me in.

Highlights

This tour takes you through the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo, with a local guide. A reservation for the hard-to-get museum ticket is included, so you do not need to arrange tickets yourself. Your guide leads you through exhibits of original artwork, background illustrations and the animation process, explaining the creative world of Studio Ghibli. Watch a short animated film shown only at the museum theater, and explore the rooftop garden with its Robot Soldier statue, the café and the museum shop at your own pace.

Program

Enter the Ghibli Museum
with a local guide

This tour includes a Ghibli Museum ticket reservation and guidance from a local guide. Your entry time is set within the time slot you booked (morning or afternoon), and the exact meeting point and time will be sent to you by message once the entry time is confirmed.

Unlike a traditional museum, the Ghibli Museum is designed as a space where visitors explore the imagination and creativity behind Studio Ghibli films. Its layout is intentionally maze-like, so exploring with a guide is especially helpful for first-time visitors.

Learn how Ghibli films are made
through original artwork and exhibits

Inside the museum, you will see original artwork, background illustrations and hands-on displays that reveal the animation process. Your guide highlights key exhibits and explains the ideas and techniques behind Ghibli animation, helping you understand how stories and characters come to life on screen.

Enjoy an exclusive short film
and the rooftop garden

Watch a short animated film shown only at the museum theater. The films change regularly. Afterward, explore at your own pace, including the rooftop garden with its famous Robot Soldier statue, the café serving Ghibli-themed food and drinks, and the museum shop with exclusive merchandise. The tour ends at the Ghibli Museum.

※ Tickets are extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed at the time of booking. If tickets are unavailable, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
