I did the intro scuba and snorkeling. It is quite expensive, but there‘s probably no better place to try it out. So I can definetly recommend it.

Can’t say enough good things about this tour! My husband and I snorkeled and our daughter did the certified dive package. We all finished up saying that the day was a life highlight! We saw so many amazing underwater creatures. My only regret was that I didn’t purchase an underwater camera to capture some of the beauty. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the day as well. If you are at all interested in exploring the GBR, definitely book this tour!

The entire trip was very successful. The tour guides are very welcoming and experienced, and the dive masters know the dive site pretty well. Overall, it was a great experience.

L'équipe était adorable et à l'écoute. Un grand merci à eux. Le repas nous a déçues car nous avons pas eu le temps de finir notre repas.

Had a great time with the divers den! Did 2 cert dives and snorkelling. Definitely a bucket list item ticked off. Liam was my dive instructor and handled the group very well.

Highlights

This day tour takes you from Cairns Marina to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, about 90 minutes away by boat. Visit two of the private moorings at Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs and spend up to 4 hours snorkeling or diving. No snorkeling experience or dive certification is needed, and options for certified dives and intro dives are available. A guided snorkel tour, lunch buffet and hot showers are included for a comfortable day.

Program

Depart Cairns Marina
for the Outer Great Barrier Reef

Board the boat at C Finger in Cairns Marina and cruise about 90 minutes to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The boat has an air-conditioned indoor area and hot showers, and morning tea or coffee is served. This day-trip boat also provides transfers for Ocean Quest liveaboard guests.

Snorkel or dive at two reef sites

Visit two hand-picked sites from the private moorings at Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs and spend up to 4 hours in the water. You may see colorful corals, clownfish (Nemo), turtles, rays and giant Maori wrasse.

A detailed snorkel briefing is given before you enter the water, and a guided snorkel tour is included. Masks, snorkels, fins, flotation devices, wetsuits and stinger suits are provided, and prescription masks are available on request. Depending on your option, you can add 2 certified dives or 1 intro dive.

Enjoy a lunch buffet and return to Cairns

A freshly prepared lunch buffet is served. After your time in the water, freshen up with a hot freshwater shower and return to Cairns.

※ Turtles, rays and other marine life live in the wild, so sightings are not guaranteed.
※ Intro dives are for ages 12 and over, and a medical certificate is required.
