Snorkeling in the reef was simply amazing. The day was well organised and the staff was all very knowledgeable and experienced and made the experience safe and enjoyable. Bring warm clothes because you get quite cold after the swims!

It was a great first snorkeling experience. There were a lot of people also on the boat, so it was mostly self-guided once you're out on the water.

Es war eine mega coole Erfahrung. Ich habe einen Schnuppertauchgang gebucht und konnte (fast) problemlos einen zweiten hinzubuchen vor Ort, da andere Teilnehmer zurückgetreten sind. Ich hatte kurz etwas Panik unter Wasser als der Druckausgleich unangenehm wurde. Unser Instructor Romain hat mich (uns) super beruhigt und hat mich sehr sicher fühlen lassen. Der zweite Tauchgang war spontanerweise dann mit ihm ganz alleine, da die anderen Teilnehmer abgebrochen haben. Wir haben einen Hai gesehen, eine Schildkröte, einen Rochen und ganz viele Fische! Es war ein super Angebot. Die Atmosphäre trotz der großen Gruppengrösse war sehr angenehm. Das Essen war lecker. Der Treffpunkt war einfach zu finden anhand der Beschreibung. Die Fotos die der Fotograf Carlos geschossen hat, sind super cool geworden!! 🤙🏽🤿🐠

Es war ein sehr gelungener Ausflug! Wir hatten nur die Schnorcheltour und haben dafür auch wirklich zwei tolle Riffe angefahren und mehr als ausreichend Zeit gehabt, um alles zu erkunden! Das Mittagessen war gut, morgens und nachmittags gab’s auch einen kleinen Snack und alles in allem war es perfekt organisiert und es wurde auch alles perfekt erklärt. Wir hatten super viel Spaß und haben auch zwei Meeresschildkröten gesehen! Außerdem wurden super Fotos gemacht - diesen Service würde ich auch auf jedenfall in Anspruch nehmen!

Board AquaQuest, a vessel purpose-built for diving and snorkeling, for a day trip to two sites on the outer Great Barrier Reef. Spend up to 5 hours in the water at two handpicked sites among private moorings at Norman, Saxon and Hastings reefs. All snorkeling gear is included, from wetsuits and Lycra suits to prescription masks, along with a guided snorkel tour, a tropical lunch buffet and hot showers. Depending on your option, add an introductory dive or certified dives.

Program

Head to the outer reef
on a purpose-built dive vessel

Check in at 8:00 AM aboard AquaQuest, moored at B Finger of Cairns Marlin Marina, and depart at 8:30 AM. Enjoy morning tea during the roughly 1.5-hour journey to the outer Great Barrier Reef.

Snorkel and dive at the first reef

Spend about 2 hours 45 minutes at the first site, handpicked from private moorings at Norman, Saxon and Hastings reefs. After a safety briefing, swim and snorkel freely or join a guided snorkel tour, and scuba dive if you booked a diving option. Look for colorful coral, clownfish, turtles, rays and the majestic Maori wrasse.

Enjoy lunch and relaxation on a spacious deck

AquaQuest features a spacious dive deck, a platform for easy water entry, a large sun deck and an air-conditioned indoor area. After the morning session, freshen up with a hot shower and enjoy a lunch buffet of hot and cold dishes, salads, rolls and tropical fruit.

Explore a second reef and return

After a transfer of about 45 minutes, spend about 1.5 hours snorkeling and diving at the second site. Enjoy afternoon tea on the roughly 1.5-hour return to Cairns Marlin Marina.
