Put on a kimono and experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in Kyoto's Nishiki Market or Gion. First, get dressed in your kimono at your chosen location and then move to the tea room to begin the full experience. Our English-speaking tea master will guide you in a relaxed atmosphere, making it easy for beginners to participate. A professional photographer will also be present to capture these special moments of you enjoying tea in a kimono.

Make Your Own Matcha with Japanese Sweets

In the tea room, watch a demonstration of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony by our expert and learn about the process of preparing tea, its history, and culture. You won't just watch; you'll get to make your own matcha! Savor your freshly made matcha with traditional Japanese sweets and slowly immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of the tea ceremony.

Kimono Photos Captured by a Professional Photographer

A professional photographer will capture candid moments throughout your experience. You will receive 3 carefully selected digital photos via email after the session. If you choose the Nishiki Market location, you can freely stroll through Kyoto in your kimono after the tea ceremony. Kimonos must be returned to the store by 6:00 PM on the same day. For the Gion location, you cannot go outside in the kimono and must return it at the venue after the tea ceremony. You are free to take photos inside the Gion location.
