BESTIf you like animals, this is a must-visit. You can see them up close! And since it is a nature reserve, the plants are also beautiful..!

Singapore Zoo offers a naturalistic zoo experience that truly feels like stepping into a jungle. Unlike zoos in other countries, here you can see all animals up close, including rare species like the endangered white tiger and polar bear, as well as bats!
Additionally, the zoo features various attractions like sea lion and elephant shows, along with delicious food options, making it an ideal destination for family travelers.

The World's Most Beautiful Zoo,
Singapore Zoo & Tram
Singapore Zoo is a highly popular destination, renowned as one of the most beautiful wildlife parks globally. From the moment you enter, the zoo captivates with its stunning, serene, and picturesque scenery. You'll then encounter a diverse array of animals, including over 1,400 species, from carnivores to marine life.
You can also witness the zoo's famous free-roaming orangutans, known for their intelligence.
Getting There

Singapore Zoo is located in the northern part of Singapore, quite a distance from the city center. Therefore, it's essential to know how to get there. Here’s the most affordable and convenient method.
1. Shuttle Bus Service
The best option is to take the River Wonders shuttle bus from Exit A of Khatib Station (Red Line) in downtown Singapore. Many travelers use this shuttle to reach River Wonders. Buses run every 20 minutes from 8:00 AM to 7:20 PM. The fare is S$1, and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
2. Public Transportation
Alternatively, you can take bus service 138 from Ang Mo Kio Station, alight at Choa Chu Kang Station, and then take bus service 927.
The Tram is a Must-Have!

Singapore Zoo is vast, easily requiring two to three hours to explore even superficially, with numerous attractions and activities. It's highly recommended to use the tram to navigate between different animal exhibits. Your WAUG ticket includes unlimited tram rides, so you can start exploring via tram right away.
Tram Tips
There are four tram stops (1 to 4), covering the four main zones of the zoo. Trams run every 5-10 minutes, so you won't have to wait long.
The Singapore Zoo tram also offers an audio guide. Dial '6' for the Korean commentary, which provides information about the main animals. Bringing your own earphones allows you to enjoy the audio guide at your own pace!
Rent Equipment at the Entrance!

Singapore Zoo is often visited by families. If you have children, you can rent strollers or scooters. Wheelchairs are also available for individuals with disabilities. The 'Wagon', capable of carrying two children, is particularly popular!
How to Rent Equipment
The rental shop is located just to the right of the main entrance.
Singapore Zoo Map Guide

Given the zoo's immense size, it's advisable to check the map beforehand and plan your route. However, here’s a recommended path for a quicker visit:
Editor's Recommended Route
Head to Tram Stop 1 from the entrance.
Board the tram at Stop 1 and travel counter-clockwise.
*Stop 1 also has the Ah Meng restaurant, where you can grab a cool drink or coffee!
Must-See Animals

The most popular animals at Singapore Zoo are the lions (like in The Lion King) and the white tigers pictured above. You can also see animals like white rhinos, giraffes, and various marine creatures. The zoo also offers special experiences like feeding the giraffes (additional fees apply for these experiences).
Don't Miss the Animal Shows

Singapore Zoo hosts three distinct animal shows daily, each performed twice. These include the Splash Safari, Animal Friends, and Rainforest Fights Back shows. Please refer below for the detailed performance schedule!
The most popular show is the sea lion performance at the Splash Park! It's incredibly entertaining to watch the sea lions perform their unique tricks!
Kids Will Love the Water Playground!

Singapore Zoo has a dedicated Kidzworld area for children. The 'Water Play' area within Kidzworld is a huge hit among kids. It's a place where they can cool off and have fun playing in the water, attracting many young visitors. Entry to the Water Play area is free.
TIP: If visiting Singapore Zoo with children, be sure to bring a change of clothes!
