BESTI never imagined I could appreciate Klimt's work in such a new way. The combination of the giant screen and music created an immersive experience, as if I were inside the painting. While I usually enjoy the quiet, this exhibition allowed me to experience the art with my whole body, making it a truly unique experience. Tickets were also conveniently available via mobile phone.
The immersive exhibition ' Klimt Alive ', which takes you on a journey through the golden world of Gustav Klimt, the representative painter of Vienna in the late 19th century, is being held for the first time in Japan. It will be decorating Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall from July 15, 2025 to October 5, 2025 , so be sure to visit when it fits your travel schedule!

This exhibition combines Klimt's various works that explored beauty and sought new forms of artistic expression with splendid classical music and the latest immersive technology. In particular, Klimt's masterpieces, including 'The Kiss' and 'Judith', unfold in sequence throughout the exhibition hall along with light, color, sound, and scent on a giant screen installed in a 7-meter-high space. Enjoy the experience of being captivated by Klimt's splendid decorativeness and sensuality while giving yourself over to the classical music that flows along with the video.
