BESTIt was so nice to be able to travel comfortably without worrying about driving. The expansive view from the Mount Fuji Observatory was impressive, and the photo zones at every stop along the way made for great photo opportunities. The Hakushu Distillery was particularly well-maintained, and although the guided tour was in Japanese, it was largely focused on visual aids and tastings, making it easy to navigate. The experience of enjoying a glass of whiskey in a forest-like setting was truly special.
Whiskey lovers will enjoy an exciting day at the Suntory Hakushu Distillery. At the tasting lounge, you can sample three of your choice from approximately 25 Suntory whiskies, including the Hakushu brand and limited-edition lineup. Payment is made on-site, allowing you to create your own unique blend of whiskies.
In the lounge, you can slowly savor each whisky from our flagship lineup, like Hakushu 12 Years and Yamazaki, comparing their aromas and aftertastes. The museum exhibits showcase the history and production process of whisky through models and materials, adding the joy of learning to the pleasure of drinking.
The gift shop also offers the opportunity to purchase up to one bottle of Hakushu Distillery's limited-edition whiskey per person. Inventory is subject to change depending on the day's availability, but if your timing is right, you can snag a bottle as the perfect souvenir from your trip.
The tour doesn't end with just whiskey. Follow the Fuji Subaru Line to Mount Fuji's 5th Station (approximately 2,300 meters above sea level), where you'll encounter magnificent vistas from the highest road-accessible observation point. You'll also stop by Kawaguchiko's photo spot to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the area. The rich aroma of whiskey and the crisp air of Mount Fuji combine to make your day even more special.

Suntory Hakushu Distillery

The highlight of this tour is the Suntory Hakushu Distillery. With exhibits and models offering a close-up look at how whisky is made in this pristine natural setting, it's a must-see for whisky lovers.
The tasting lounge, in particular, allows you to personally sample three of your choice from approximately 25 Suntory whiskies. You'll find the Hakushu brand as well as limited editions, making it a fun way to mix and match to suit your tastes. Tastings are paid for on-site, and you can savor each whisky individually, each one aptly named, from a lineup that's already captivating. The names alone, like the Hakushu 12 Year Old and Yamazaki, are enough to make you want to savor them.
The gift shop also offers the opportunity to purchase up to one bottle of Hakushu Distillery's limited-edition whiskey per person. Inventory is subject to change depending on the day's availability, but if your timing is right, you can snag a bottle as the perfect souvenir from your trip.
